So this is what builders and contractors officially call “Remodeling Season” and here at Labelle Waste, we definitely can confirm that!  We are getting calls everyday from homeowners telling us about their project – cabinets ripped out and replaced, floors, new windows installed – all asking how large of a dumpster do they need (which by the way is really hard to determine without looking at the job!)

More and more we see homeowners doing their own demo and remodeling – we talked about it last fall and its definitely the case this spring.  We have been suggesting to people that they start their demo and make a pile and when they think they are about a third to half done, take a look at the pile and try to imagine how much space they think they will need when the demo is all done because it save them money to make sure that they order a large enough dumpster the first time even if that means going up a size to be on the safe side.  It will cost much more if we end up having to bring them a second dumpster.

Its hard for people to imagine thousands, if not tons of trash, but it adds up faster than you can believe and a small dumpster is easily filled, especially when you consider all the extra things that you might want to get rid of knowing that you have a dumpster right outside your house.  Please free to call with questions, we are always happy to help talk you through the decision.  Have a great day!
