Where Does My Trash Go??

I don’t know about you, but I feel bad when I throw out tons of things.  Usually they are things that I thought I would use or used to use but just don’t anymore.  If you think about everyone in the world and all the trash that we all produce?  WOW…  Well rest assured that we do our very best to make sure that as much of the waste from your dumpster rental is recycled as possible.

At Labelle Waste Systems we use TBI out of North Andover to dispose of the things from our dumpster rentals.  TBI is a state of the art facility that was built in 2008 and has the capabilities to sort your garbage so that things that are able can be recycled, cutting down on the amount of garbage that either has to go into a land fill or an incinerator.  Additionally, their system shreds wood and converts it into boiler fuel which they store right at the facility to use in the future as a renewable energy.  The seperators at the facility use a combination of screens, vibration and forced air and then several types of shredders to process the seperated materials to be recycled.

We realize how important recycling is and know that you do too, but another important aspect is reusing items.  You have heard the saying “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” right?  Before you throw things away think about whether someone else might be able to use it – free websites for posting such as craigslist and freecycle are great for getting rid of things that may still have some life in them.   If we all do our part we can make the earth a cleaner place icon smile Where Does My Trash Go??
